purim maskHappy Purim!  We hope to see lots of costumed campers at our Purim Carnival this Sunday, March 11th 2:30-4:00pm at Germantown Jewish Center.  Questions?  Contact our Eizor leaders at eizor@campgalil.org.  Until then enjoy this recipe for easy and delicious hamentashen! 

 

Ingredients: 

3 eggs 

1 cup sugar 

3/4 cup oil 

1/2 cup orange juice 

1 teaspoon vanilla 

4 cups flour 

2 teaspoons baking powder 

1/2 teaspoon salt 

Your choice of fillings 

 

1. Beat eggs, then add sugar, oil, orange juice, and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt.  Stir into liquid ingredients. 

2. Form into a ball, then cover and chill.  When chilled, roll out thin on a floured board. 

3. Cut circles using a cutter or the top of a drinking glass.  Fill with your favorite preserves.  Shape into triangles. 

4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes on a greased cookie sheet. 

5. Enjoy!

Galil at Germantown Jewish Center   

Learn more about Galil from our professional staff and current families on Sunday, March 4th 9am-1pm.   

    

Main Line Ken Potluck   

All campers who were in Amelim, Chotrim, and Sayarim (current 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th graders) are invited to a Shabbat potluck on Friday, March 9th in Ardmore, PA.  Please bring a dairy dish to share!   

    

Eizor Purim Party   

Come celebrate Purim with your Galil friends on Sunday, March 11th 2:30-4pm.  We will be hosting a carnival, including mask making, hamentashen, and more!  Come dressed in costume.  

    

Parlor Meeting in Philadelphia   

Join us at the home of a current Galil family to learn more about what makes the Galil experience so special on Sunday, March 18th 2-4pm.  You will have the opportunity to hear from parents, campers, and professional staff about why they love Galil.  Please share this event with anyone you know who would love Galil!   

    

Informational Meeting at Adath Israel Congregation (NJ)   

Interested in learning more about Galil?  Have friends that you think would love our camping experience?  Galil's professional staff will be at Adath Israel in Lawrenceville, NJ on March 25th to speak with families about what makes our camping experience so unique!  We will be at Adath during Religious School in addition to hosting a meeting afterwards for interested families.  Come here alumni and Galil parents share their Galil stories.  

   

Eizor Passover Seder   

Join us for our annual Passover seder on Sunday, March 25th at Gratz College.  We will tell the story of the Jews in Egypt through fun and games.  Families are welcome.  

    

Game Night with the Philadelphia 76ers   

We have 35 alumni, parents, campers, and counselors joining us at Israel Night with the Philadelphia 76ers.  Check our  Facebook page later for pictures of us enjoying the game!  

    

East Coast Mifgash   

Join Eizor Galil, Moshava, and Na'aleh for a special overnight get-together Friday, March 30th to Sunday, April 1st at Gratz College.  This event is only open to campers who were in Bogrim last summer (current 10th graders) and up.
