A Bear-y Special Day

Today was Yom Meyuchad (Special Day)! Each session, the tzevet (staff) plans a day with a theme and new activities that are different from our typical day!

We woke up this morning for a delicious breakfast of waffles and ice cream with Goldilocks at the Three Bears’ house.

Then, each kvutza (age group) choreographed a dance to a bear-themed song to perform for all of machane (camp).

After that, it was time to get in the mindset of a bear. We did an obstacle course, climbed the rockwall, hunted for fish, went in the dunk tank, painted faces, and put on temporary tattoos.

Lunch was ramen – based on Kung Fu Panda, and dinner was loose meat sandwiches based on Chicago’s The Bear.

We met Carebears, the Charmin Bear, Winnie the Pooh, Fozzy Bear, and more! Each bear needed help to complete a different task.

We hibernated, played on the Slip N Slide, made slime and tea, and had a shaving cream fight.

The night ended with a pool party!
