Taste of Galil
The first five days of the rest of your child's life
Taste of Galil is a four-night program designed for post-second graders looking to try out an overnight camp experience at Camp Galil.
Now in its 13th summer, Taste of Galil has grown an entire generation of first-timers into life-long campers. Because of this, we call the group Nitzanim/ot the Hebrew word for "buds." Our goal is to help our campers blossom at Galil and to begin an immersive Jewish experience that they will carry with them through their lives.
The Taste of Galil counselors are specially selected for this role each summer and are often veteran Galil staff who have extensive childcare training and experience.
Because of their expertise, these counselors are able to tailor the program specifically for this age group, ensuring that every child's unique needs are taken care of. In order to guarantee this type of care, we provide a high staff to camper ratio so that each camper, and the group as whole, is as safe and happy as possible.
Taste of Galil starts on Wednesday, August 3rd and ends on Sunday, August 7th so that our campers get a taste of regular days, as well as Shabbat, to provide the full Jewish camping experience that Galil offers.
