Boker Tov Machaneh Galil (Good Morning, Camp Galil)!
Today was laundry day! The enthusiasm at hitkansut was palpable, surely helped by the chanichimot’s singing at the flagpole was filled with ruach. The Ivrit Shimushit word of the day was Acharei (after), introduced via a skit of an improvised LASIK surgery (“ach, a ray!”). For breakfast, the Chanichimot ravenously consumed hash browns, eggs, and vegetarian sausages.

During sa’adnaot, Amelimot learned our mealtime chants, the newly renamed Skufarimot (ChoSay) made collages, and Tzofimot baked in the mitbach. Lunch was a luxurious Macaroni and Cheese.

During the second Peulah Shikvah, Amelimot-Bogrimot (Ambo) buddies met each other and baked cookies together. The long-running tradition provides a friend and mentor to the Amels while teaching Bogrimot skills in hadracha (leadership) and dugma (setting a good example).

The sports of the day were basketball, volleyball, and swimming; the chanichimot took advantage of the day’s clear skies and flocked out to play in droves.

The Tochnit Erev (evening activity) was Dome Night, themed around the long-running joke that we should build a dome around Camp Galil to keep out insects and bad weather. In the end, the dome could not withstand a campwide water and shaving cream battle.

Laila Tov, Galil Families!
