July 3rd: Skufarimot on Ropes!

Shalom, Galil Families!

Thursday began like any other day. After waking up at 8:00, we all headed to the toren (flagpole) for hitkansut boker (morning assembly). The Hebrew word of the day, again taught by our lovely cast of under-educated doctors, was “ohel” (tent)! With a new word in our vocabulary, we all headed off to have a wonderful breakfast of waffles and eggs. Newly energized, we split off to do avodah (work) around camp. From cleaning up after our meal to chopping wood for the bonfire, chanichimot learned the value of maintaining our shared space.

During Sa’adnaot (specialist workshops), Amelimot got crafty in the Beit Omanut (art building), Skufarimot made a treat in the Mitbach, Tzofimot bonded on low ropes, Bonimot had fun with the Madatz, and Bogrimot learned new dances.

Today was the first day of operation for our ropes course this Summer, and the Skufarimot (formerly known as ChoSay) had a blast!

During chugim today, the chanichimot in other kvutzot continued their prior endeavors, be it creek exploration, Machaneh beautification, or random acts of kindness.

Dinner was tremendously popular: burgers, fries, and vegetarian sloppy joes. The Tochnit Erev (evening activity) was Community-themed. Rain pushed the festivities indoors, but spirits were high in our carnival in the Moadan. Chanichimot sipped shirley temples, got facepaint, and playing coke and pepsi in. We finished the night with brownies and Karoake on the large speaker.
