Galil Blog
Shalom, Galil families! I’m Gil, this session’s communications specialist.
Today was a magical opening day for Camp Galil’s 80th Summer. After braving the twists and turns of Red Hill Road, families and Chanichim (campers) from around the world were welcomed into Machaneh (camp).

Once our chanichim were checked-in, got their health checks at the Moadon, and unpacked at the cabins, the feast and festivities began at the mini-mo.

For our final activity before Galil Families had to leave, we ma’agalized (circled up) for some classic Galil Rikud (Israeli Dancing).

With parents gone, it was time to get down to business. Chanichim split up by kvutzah (age group) to learn rules and make new friends.

Later on, it was time for Zman Sport. Chanichim had their choice between a plethora of their favorite sports.

Shira (singing) was done with a twist. Our older and younger Chanichim competed to sing with more ruach (energy). In a stunning upset, the younger kids won!

During Chofesh (free time) after Dinner, some campers competed to see who could stand longest on the Chicken. Others spent quality time with their kvutzot.

For our final activity, Chanichim watched skits presenting the session’s chuggim (elective activities).

And that was the day. For more images like those above, be sure to visit your CampInTouch account. Laila Tov (good night)!
