We recognize that sending your camper to Camp Galil is a significant financial investment. As a result, we are committed to establishing policies and procedures that work mutually for your family and Camp Galil. We thank you in advance for your support and cooperation. Camp Galil reserves the right to modify its policies and procedures from time to time. The version in effect at the time of the relevant event shall govern unless otherwise stated.
PAYMENT POLICY
- All camper tuition must be paid in full in order for campers to attend camp.
- Once your camper’s application has been processed, the deposit will be charged to the payment method provided in the application. The deposit is $750 for all programs except Taste of Galil, which has a $375 deposit. There is a $50 non-refundable, non-transferable portion of the deposit.
- Payment in full is required by May 15th.
- If a registration is withdrawn between March 1 and March 31st, $200 will be forfeited and if a registration is withdrawn between April 1st and April 30th, there’s a $500 fee.
- Starting May 1st, there is a 20% cancellation penalty. Starting June 1st, there is a 50% cancellation penalty.
- After June 10th, there is no refund.
- Payments can be made by credit/debit card or eCheck; credit card transactions will incur a 2% processing fee. We encourage families to use the eCheck option through your CampInTouch account as there are no fees assessed to families with an eCheck payment.
- Invoices will be sent out monthly. For those families who’ve chosen an installment-based payment plan, payments will be processed at the end of each month.
- Payments returned for non-sufficient funds or other banking issues will incur a $50 administrative fee.
REFUND POLICY
Camp Galil staff work year-round to plan for a successful, meaningful, and safe summer. Our refund policy reflects the reality that a significant portion of our expenses are incurred well before summer camp begins. As a non-profit, Camp Galil relies on tuition fees to fund our year-round operations.
All requests to withdraw your child before the start of camp must be received in writing (by email). Requests for changes made by phone will not be honored.
CHANGES/WITHDRAWALS BEFORE CAMP BEGINS
When withdrawing for the summer, we will refund your tuition payment – not including the $50 non-refundable portion of the deposit – less the following cancellation fee:
- February 28th: Full Refund
- 3/1-3/31: $200
- 4/1-4/30: $500
- 5/1-5/31: 20%
- 6/1-6/10: 50%
- No refunds are issued after June 10th.
Full Summer Change Fee: Families choosing to reduce full summer sessions within 30 days or less of the first session start date–a $500 session change fee will be applied to the family account. Please note that the $500 change fee is a charge and not a held credit that can be used for a sibling or held for future season. This Change Fee ONLY applies to families who choose to reduce full summer sessions AFTER 5/27/2027 and it does NOT apply to any change of session required by Camp as defining in the section “Change of Session” below. Changes from full season to one session on or prior to 5/27/2027 will not incur any penalty.
WITHDRAWALS AFTER CAMP BEGINS
No tuition refund will be made for withdrawals after the start of camp. In the following circumstances, we will refund your tuition payment – not including the deposit – on a prorated basis:
- If camp administration determines that it is in the best interest of a camper to leave camp early, a prorated refund will be provided.
- Campers who withdraw during the summer for a documented health emergency, will be eligible for a prorated refund. Campers who withdraw prior to the start of camp, for a documented health emergency, will be eligible for a full refund less the non-refundable deposit of $500.
For campers arriving late or leaving early, please note that there is no prorating of tuition for campers who need to arrive late or who depart camp before the end of the enrolled session(s).
DISMISSAL FROM CAMP
At the discretion of camp administration, the behavioral infractions below can result in immediate dismissal from camp and NO TUITION REFUND due to violation of policy. If a camper is dismissed involuntarily from camp as a result of a parent/guardian’s failure to provide accurate or complete behavioral and/or medical information, there will be no refund.
