Revo – Habo Cabo

Last night, the madatz (CITs) burst into the tzrifim (cabins) just as everyone was getting ready for bed. We raced to the basketball court, to learn that two of the madatz had just gotten “engaged.” But the tzevet (counselors) put their foot down—no wedding would be happening under their watch. So, naturally, we had to kick them out. With the tzevet gone, the wedding plans were in full swing! But first, we needed our full night of sleep… because tomorrow, we were hitting the road to Cabo! By nine o’clock the next morning, David Weiss and Jeff were waiting outside the tzrifim (cabins) to drive us in the back of the trucks to breakfast, where we fueled up with some classic Wawa Sizzilis. Next, our road trip began. We stopped in Utah for some famous soda, zoomed down the Slip n’ Slide in Florida, made slime in Alaska, and painted pots in New Mexico. Next, we chilled out on the kikar (field) for a bit, catching some rays and playing games, before heading down to a pool party. After lounging on pool floats and swimming around, we showered off, then headed to lunch! This meal stop was lo mein and spring rolls—but the party didn’t stop there. After lunch, we had a literal party! A bachelor/bachelorette combo to celebrate the soon-to-be bride and groom. We glammed up at one party station, designed rings with jewelry wire and beads, tasted different grape juices, and played a few rounds of sock wrestling at another. Now that we were all glammed up, it was time for the wedding. Everyone was assigned a different role (flower girl, ring bearer, proud grandfather, etcetera). At the wedding, we danced the Hora and celebrated the newly weds, with every guest getting the chance to be lifted in a chair in celebration. The ceremony was followed by dinner—Hors d’oeuvres! We dined on kebabs and pigs in blankets. After dinner, we all headed to the Refet (barn) for the messiba (party). We danced and danced, with candy everywhere, then ended the night with shirley temples and lemon bars. Mazel Tov to the best Revo ever!

Also – the Pre-Madatz left camp for a special day trip of Tikkun Olam and Fun! They went to the United Way of Bucks County to help them with their Tools for School program. Afterwards, they went bowling, before returning to camp for the rest of Revo!
