Galil Blog
Shabbat shalom Galil families and friends! We started this lovely Saturday slowly with a sleep in… except for the younger chanichimot (campers) who willingly woke up bright and early for a morning filled with donuts, arts and crafts, and making new shira (song) sheets.
As the morning progressed, our bogrimot (oldest campers) ran a few special chuggim (interest groups) for the rest of camp. The activities included: art, disc golf, reading, and “chilling.”
Our madatz (CITS) continued their programming with our partners at Camp Moshava (see previous blog post for more details about this mifgash), with an exciting visitor, Erica Kushner, Galil Alum and Mazkirol of our Movement (leadership of Habonim Dror North America).

Meanwhile, the rest of our chanichimot (campers) dressed up as crabs and had a dance party in the moadon. It was very silly and lots of fun!

We moved into Zman Kvutza (time with your age group), where the Amelimot (youngest campers) decided how to spend their kupa (collective money) and the Bonimot (second oldest campers) did some EXTREME slip n’ slide activities.

We moved into the evening with all of our classic shabbat activities like musicale (talent show) where mazkirut (youth-leadership team) stole the show with an incredible performance of a Galil-themed parody to Dolly Parton’s “Here You Come Again.” We then enjoyed a make-your-own burrito bar with PLENTY of toppings for dinner.
Our shabbat ended with a peaceful havdalah service into a medurah (bonfire) filled with laughs and of course… GLIDA (ice cream)!
Talk to ya later,
Julia
