Galil Blog
Good morning Galil! Today was a very magical day here at camp. We woke up this morning, after a small sleep in, to some lovely French music playing over the romkol. Then, we went to hitkansut, where we were surprised by a tzevet organized flash mob! We danced to the song “Papaoutai” by Stromae, and got all of machaneh to join us! With this routine we revealed to the chanichimot that it was Special Day, a themed day full of fun activities.

This year, we started off the day in Paris, France, and ate breakfast outside the chadar. Then, we had a French-themed round robin, with activities like “wine tasting” and “stealing the Mona Lisa.” Later, it started to rain, but that didn’t stop the fun! We took a boat, or slip n’ slide, from France to Pennsylvania to see what life in the US was like. We went to a farmers market where we got to make our own butter and pickled vegetables, and then we celebrated the birthday of a chanichol! We played a camp-wide game of “duck-duck-goose,” which everyone really enjoyed, and then it was time for dinner.

After dinner we saw what a real American party was like, with an amazing messibah in the refet. Then, our Special day came to a close, and everyone went to sleep after a fun filled yom meyuchad.
See you tomorrow,
Emmanuel
